FRAMES

I watched President Trump’s Cabinet meeting yesterday and he was pointing out a number of the pictures he had placed in that room, making mention about the frames that the pictures were in.  He spoke about how he liked the frames more than the pictures that were in them.  He was interested in having the frames in the room match as much as possible.

Did you know that the Bible has much to say about frames?  I’m reasonably certain that President Trump's reasoning for the frames was not Biblical, but as I was meditating on this this morning, I became enamored with the Biblical aspects of frames.

For example, Psalm 103:14 - 'For he knows our frame; he remembers that we are dust. ' Frame here could also mean that “he knows how we are formed,” formed together with we are dust, which hearkens back to Genesis 2:7 where it speaks about when God  created Adam. The Lord remembers the finiteness of the human perspective (“dust” is not eternal or omniscient), and he is patient with his people.

Another place the Bible speaks of a frame is Psalm 94:20 - 'Can wicked rulers be allied with you, those who frame injustice by statute? '  Wicked rulers are the ungodly here who have power, and they use it to frame injustice and to condemn the innocent to death (which God hates). This verse denies that such rulers could possibly be allied with God, under his favor. Yet, there are so many people in the church who are following the wicked and think that they are allied with God.

There are quiet a few people who claim to be Christians, yet they are allied with those who “frame injustice by statutes.” If not statutes they are expressing their injustice by outright breaking the law and feeling justified in doing so.  I find it mind-boggling that so many in the church of God are expressing hate for the President and anyone for him, yet still claim to be Christians.  If this is you, you had better repent and get right with God before it’s too late.  If you can’t do that, then get out of the church and be with who you really are.  Stop being a hypocrite. You are not fooling anyone but yourself and you’re sure not fooling God!

The dictionary defines hypocrite as: (1) a person who puts on a false appearance of virtue or religion or (2) a person who acts in contradiction to his or her stated beliefs or feelings.

The last passage I am going to mention here is Psalm 139:15:  It says: ‘My frame was not hidden from you, when I was being made in secret, intricately woven in the depths of the earth.’  God knew us as we were being made in our mother’s womb.  He even knew what our personality would be and every aspect of what our lives would be, all before we were born. He knew what our frame was.

If God knew us this well before we were born, is it not possible that we can trust Him with our lives and be obedient to what He has called us to do?  I think that it’s very possible and no matter how good we are at what we do, we can never out perform what God has planned for our lives.

No matter how old you are, you can stop right where you are at and repent of how you have lived your life and give God 100% control of your life.

To repent means: feel or express sincere regret or remorse about one's wrongdoing or sin.  It quite literally means to turn from our ways.  All you have to do is pray to God for forgiveness and tell him you receive Jesus as your Lord and Savior and turn your life back over to Him.

Romans 10:8-10 - 'But what does it say? “The word is near you, in your mouth and in your heart” (that is, the word of faith that we proclaim); because, if you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart one believes and is justified, and with the mouth one confesses and is saved. '

A VOICE CRYING IN THE WILDERNESS

In those days John the Baptist came, preaching in the wilderness of Judea and saying, “Repent, because the kingdom of heaven has come near! ” For he is the one spoken of through the prophet Isaiah, who said: A voice of one crying out in the wilderness: Prepare the way for the Lord; make his paths straight! ,” Matthew‬ ‭3‬:‭1‬-‭3‬ ‭

Considering the number of people who have podcasts, blogs, tv shows and radio programs, there is no end to the number of voices “crying in the wilderness.” So much so, it’s difficult to determine what voice to listen to.
There are many “voices” spewing lies, hate, more lies, propaganda and every other thing to twist the truth for their own purposes. I am truly astonished at the fact that some people know no bounds at what they will say and do.
We MUST seek the Lord at all times for the truth. Jesus told us “You will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.” (John‬ ‭8‬:‭32‬) The Bible also says: “Jesus told him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.” (John‬ ‭14‬:‭6‬) And the Apostle Peter told us “His divine power has given us everything required for life and godliness through the knowledge of him who called us by his own glory and goodness. By these he has given us very great and precious promises, so that through them you may share in the divine nature, escaping the corruption that is in the world because of evil desire.” (2 Peter‬ ‭1‬:‭3‬-‭4‬)
If we do not know Jesus as our Lord and Savior, we are not going to have the discernment to know the truth from a lie. We are going to drink up every lie the “bogus media” spews out. Sadly, there are many who claim to be Christians, who are soaking in the lies and believing it all.
While this verse speaks to perversion, it still applies to any truth that is exchanged for a lie. It says: “They exchanged the truth of God for a lie, and worshiped and served what has been created instead of the Creator, who is praised forever. Amen.” (Romans‬ ‭1‬:‭25‬) Without the Holy Spirit’s protection over our spirit, we are susceptible to exchanging truth for a lie. If you have already exchanged the truth for the lies, you need to repent.
Let us seek His face at all times and pray for a hedge of protection around our hearts and minds. Let’s surrender to His will, repent and say, “Yes Lord, Yes!”
